Otto Maier

Aloha, my name is Otto Maier. Three years ago while carrying large rocks, I apparently injured my back, and started experiencing sciatic pain and spasms in my right leg.  This continued for one year.

When I finally went to a doctor, he referred me to a specialist on Oahu who took X-rays and Cat scans.  He discovered that two of my lower discs were deteriorating, and all they could do was give pain mediation and occasional shots directly into the back to reduce pain and swelling. None of this brought relief.

Feeling that only God could help me, I prayed and sought Him for a healing. While at By the Book bookstore in Kahului, I noticed a book by T.L. Osborn called Healing the Sick. I was inspired to ACCEPT that I WAS healed in Jesus’ atoning death, instead of just pleading with God to heal me. (Mark 11:23; Isaiah 53)

Although many Christians question that type of faith, I found a few who encouraged me, including Faith Family Fellowship, a small Church in Kihei with a Filipino pastor, Pastor Bill Vanderbush, and Grace Church, where I continue to attend.

I was healed completely of any back pain. Even though I have passed my “three score and ten,” I maintain a vigorous work regimen, daily working hours at physical labor in the garden.

I love sharing this testimony as well as telling the Gospel to any and all.
